ABOUT ME

A Pharmacist’s Perspective on Medications and Whole-Person Health Care

Health care shouldn’t feel confusing, rushed, or disconnected — yet for many, that’s exactly how it feels.

I’m Janine Garcia, PharmD—a clinical pharmacist who helps people make sense of medications, supplements, evolving health concerns, and the lifestyle factors that influence longevity and quality of life.

My work is grounded in science, shaped by years of clinical experience, and guided by a coaching approach that prioritizes clarity, compassion, and true partnership.

Are We a Match?

Many of my clients are thoughtful, health-conscious adults who want guidance that is smart, practical, and personalized.

They may be individuals who are:

  • Managing multiple medications or supplements
  • Concerned about memory, focus, or brain health
  • Proactive about aging well and building resilience
  • Caregivers navigating complex care decisions for a loved one
  • Feeling like something is “missing” in their current healthcare experience

If this sounds like you, we may be a good fit. Book a discovery call to chat and see—no pressure, just insight.

My Story: From Medication Expert to Functional Wellness Advocate

For much of my career, my focus was medications — and rightly so. Medications save lives, and as a pharmacist, I was trained to understand them deeply: how they work, how they interact, and how to use them safely and effectively. But over time, I began to notice a pattern.

Even when medications were technically “optimized,” many were still struggling — with brain fog, fatigue, sleep disruption, memory changes, and a sense that their health wasn’t improving in meaningful ways.

Caregivers were weighed down by conflicting guidance, and patients were following every instruction yet still not thriving. It became clear to me: medications alone rarely tell the full story.

This realization led me to expand my training beyond traditional pharmacy into functional and lifestyle-based approaches — with a particular focus on brain health, cognitive resilience, and whole-person care.

The Essence of My Coaching Style

I approach my work with clients from a place of care, integrity, and respect—seeing the whole person, not just symptoms or a medication list. People deserve to feel heard, understood, and treated with dignity.

When we work together, you can expect from me:

Faith — anchoring my work in trust in God, hope amid uncertainty, and the belief that each person’s health journey holds purpose and meaning; my faith shapes how I show up—with humility and discernment—to honor a client's unique beliefs and their expertise in their life

Love — expressed through compassion, patience, presence, and a sincere desire to serve the good of the whole person

Forgiveness — creating a shame-free space where challenges are met with grace and opportunities for growth

Honesty — offering clear, balanced guidance with integrity and transparency

Appreciation of beauty and excellence — practicing gratitude and recognizing progress, resilience, and the goodness already present

Together, these values shape a coaching experience that is prayerfully grounded, compassionate, and deeply human — supporting clients as they move forward with balance of prudence and zest!

What Makes Our Work Different Than Typical Health Care

Most health care visits are short and problem-focused. Our work together is different.

We look at:

  • Medications and lifestyle
  • Symptoms and underlying contributors
  • Immediate concerns and long-term brain health

The goal is a collaborative space where your unique perspective is the guide, allowing us to build a plan that fits seamlessly into your actual world, not just the exam room.

Our goal is not perfection. It’s steady progress.
